We shouldn’t leave our house without putting on our armor. We face many challenges throughout the day and need to have the right mindset to ensure victory. Throughout this weekly bible study of Ephesians 6:10-20 we will learn about each piece of armor God tells us to put on each day and what they mean. By the end of this study - You will grow in your prayer life, you will grow in your spiritual walk with God, and you will be fully equipped to stand firm against the fiery arrows of the enemy. Join other women, just like you, that know we need to grow our strength to conquer the many challenges we face in our every day. Your investment of one day a week throughout this summer will set the foundation for the rest of your life. It’s time for some Christian dating #realtalk! Let’s unmask the world of singleness and dating with honest conversations, practical wisdom, and fun! Using the Heart of Dating Podcast by Kait and JJ Tomlin and as tool to guide us in this journey.
This book written by Pete Greig besides the Bible has had a bigger impact on my spiritual life then anything else. One of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray!” Every pilgrim gets a stone in their shoe eventually. You wake up one morning thinking, Is this really all there is to knowing the Creator of one hundred billion galaxies? You read the book of Acts and ask, Why isn’t it like that anymore? Your world falls apart and you desperately need a miracle. You stare up at the stars and feel things bigger than religious language. You say to yourself, If this thing is true, there’s got to be more power, more mystery, more actual personal experience. And so, finally, you turn to God, half wondering whether you’re any more xiii How to Pray than half- serious, and say, “Lord, teach me to pray.” And he replies, “I thought you’d never ask!”

"Because I said so!", "End of discussion!", "No excuses. You should already know this!", “You don’t talk back! I’m the parent, you listen!” Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. Do you feel like no matter how hard you try, you're unable to shake an authoritarian streak in the way you parent? Do you want to raise kids who tend to be confident, responsible, and respectful because YOU model those traits, instead of raising kids who obey out of fear or resentment? Yeah, ME TOO. We'll be reading and discussing "Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family" by Paul David Tripp. This group will meet weekly at Atwater's in Catonsville at 7AM.
Are you looking for a place to connect with other men who share your faith and desire to grow spiritually? Come build meaningful relationships, encourage one another, and deepen your walk with Christ. Whether you’re seeking encouragement, accountability, or simply a chance to grow in community, this group is for you. Come as you are, and leave inspired to make a difference in your life and the lives of those around you.
If you're like me, then you know that silence and solitude and a morning time for prayer is super important to your walk with Christ - but then Life and Busyness gets in the way and you don't actually end up practicing it. Inspired by Frog and Toad in this image: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/54/b8/09/54b80900df43134c9c931e7aef69e230.jpg , let's just sit and do nothing, but do it together. Join me at Lake Elkhorn at 6:30 am for a half hour of silence, followed by a walk of the lake for us to process our weeks and prayer requests together. No curriculum, no assigned reading, no pressure. If your kids can get up early, sit still and be silent for a half hour, and then walk around a lake, they're welcome to join.
Burtonsville
This group is designed specifically for women between the ages of 40 and 50 who are navigating the challenges of raising young children while managing the complexities of life. It offers a supportive community where women can come together to share their struggles, seek encouragement, and find strength in their faith. The group emphasizes the power of Scripture to provide comfort, guidance, and strength in the midst of daily struggles. Through Bible study, prayer, and reflection, women are encouraged to root themselves in God's promises and trust in His provision for their families and lives. Scriptures like Philippians 4:13 ("I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me") and Isaiah 41:10 ("So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand") offer reminders of God's faithfulness and strength in difficult seasons. This group creates a safe and nurturing space where women can explore God's Word together, build a deeper relationship with Him, and lean on His truths as they navigate motherhood, marriage, and life’s other responsibilities.

This summer we are pivoting our usual format and going through Jen Wilkin's Revelation study. This is not a light study, but it is an incredible one! "Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. The book of Revelation overflows with images and ideas that confound our modern ears. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Why don’t we see it that way? Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse Bible study, Jen Wilkin helps you discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God's great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age." https://www.jenwilkin.net/books-and-studies/#bible-studies

Men, in the battle for your integrity, your values, your marriage, your family, and your impact in life, there is no more formidable warrior than you. Why? Because God specifically designed and equipped YOU to fight in the unique arena that is your life, and to do so boldly, and ultimately, when the dust settles, to do so victoriously. This group aims to encourage, challenge, and strengthen us as men to submit to Jesus, walk in integrity, take ownership of our responsibilities, and step up as men who lead with wisdom and honor. If you are ready to get off your backside, to stop being on the defensive, to get on your front foot, and to take the initiative in the battle for your family, church, and community alongside other like-minded Christian men through honest, vulnerable, Scripture-anchored conversations . . . then Welcome to the Fight. 1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Timothy 4:7
