This group is a hybrid group with 3 meetings in person and virtual group in between. Every new year is a season of change. But nothing changes if nothing changes. We struggle, we doubt, we set new goals, and most of us don't achieve them. 80% of people fail to achieve their goals and many quit by February. You know who never fails.. Jesus. To navigate the journey from motivation to goal, we need a GPS. In this group we will apply the science of goal setting, motivation, will power, and discipline, while leaning into where our strength comes from.. Jesus!

Two thousand years ago, Jesus said to his disciples, “follow me.” But what does it mean for us to follow Jesus today? The Practicing the Way Course is an on-ramp to spiritual formation, exploring what it means to follow Jesus and laying the foundation for a life of apprenticeship to him. This course features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. Together, we'll form a foundational understanding of intentional spiritual formation. We’ll explore how to follow Jesus in our busy, distracted, and increasingly secular culture.
Meeting Time: 7:30 PM
Join us as we dig into two different spiritual practices with teachings from John Mark Comer and Practicing the Way. This group is focusing on the content provided through online resources from Practicing the Way.

"We all long to live life at its best―to fuse freedom and spontaneity with purpose and meaning. Why then do we often find our lives so humdrum, so unadventuresome, so routine? Or else so frantic, so full of activity, but still devoid of fulfillment? How do we learn to risk, to trust, to pursue wholeness and excellence―to run with the horses in the jungle of life? In a series of profound reflections on the life of Jeremiah the prophet, Eugene Peterson explores the heart of what it means to be fully and genuinely human. His writing is filled with humor and self-reflection, insight and wisdom, helping to set a course for others in the quest for life at its best." Join us men as we study this book, gather for coffee and fellowship, and seek to build each other up over the course of the semester.

The Sojourn is a weekly men’s group built around honesty, trust, and shared journey. It’s a space for real conversation about faith and life—marriage, parenting, work, doubt, grief, and everything we carry but rarely say out loud. Rather than rushing to fix or perform, we practice listening well, telling the truth, and supporting one another through whatever season we’re in. Some weeks are heavy, some are quiet, some are full of laughter—but all are grounded in respect, confidentiality, and care. You don’t need to have it all together, and you don’t need to have all the answers. Whether you’re strong in your faith, uncertain, or somewhere in between, you’re welcome to walk alongside others for as long as our paths overlap.
Meeting Day: Friday
I get it, a theology group sounds really boring BUT hear me out! This group isn't going to be a stuffy college class, but instead a group where we'll bring our questions and doubts about God, faith, and the world and see the practical impact of good (and bad) theology in our everyday lives. This group will not be over your head or intimidating. It will be fun and real as we dive into discussions that YOU choose and look to scripture as our guide. Come ready to be challenged and built up.
We meet weekly at Judge's Bench in downtown Ellicott City to spend time chatting and getting to know one another - come find your crew!
